SPIRITUAL WING:
Religious teaching is sine qua non for building up one’s character.

1. Sri Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam is being conducted regularly on every Friday between 3pm and 4 pm by our students under the guidance of Sri S.Sundara Varadan and Sri T.M.Kesavan

2. Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi of Triplicane is conducting bajans and spiritual study circle on every Saturday between 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm

3. Thiru Adi Pooram ,Sri Vinayaka Chathurti and Saraswathi Pooja were celebrated with full devotion by our staff members and students.

4. Sri Rama Pattabhishekmam is being celebrated during the month of April in a grand manner.

RED RIBBON CLUB:
As per the instructions given by the government, Red Ribbon Club was formed in our school in order to create awareness among students about Aids.
Students from neighbouring schools took part in it. Competitions were held and prizes were given to the students. Sri.B.Anandan,BT.Assistant., Mrs.R.Varalakshmi B.T.,Assistant., are the teachers in charge for the club.

NATIONAL GREEN CORPS:
Department of Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu, selected our school to start National Green Corps. Its aim is to inculcate knowledge about the environment in the young minds. Fifty students of our school studying in VI to VIII stds. are the members of the club. Sri.B.Anandan,B.T.,Assistant is incharge of the club. This year nearly one hundred and twenty students took part in Bhogi festival rally, to create awareness among the public about not burning of waste materials. Competitions were held and prizes were given to the students.

SPORTS:
Our school participated in all games and sports conducted by east Chennai securing secondary athletic association and we won the Basket ball, Hockey and Volley ball in south cluster level. In district level our school won in Hockey at junior and senior level and runners up in Chennai Divisional level.

In Athletics we participated in all events and got championship in sub-juniors.p.vinod of VIIF selected for state level sports meet and got individual championship in Divisional level. In Cricket S.Murali XII’B’ was selected for TNCA team and A.K.Balanchandar IX F was selected for SGFI Team and played at Sirsa for National Level.
In swimming K.Senthil Kumar VIII-F, K.Mani X-F, D.Tamilvanan XII-E, A.Raja XII-B, Magimai Doss XII-B, S.Suresh Kumar IX-C. Premnath IX-C were selected for the SGFI and participated in National Level Tournament at sirsa in Haryana state. Selvan S.Sureshkumar IX-C was adopted by Tamilnadu Government to improve his skills to participate in Olympic swimming competitions. Our school swimming team participated in state level competitions and got championship conducted by SADT.

In Boxing S.Satish IX-B and A.Premkumar VII-E were selected for Tamilnadu State Team. P.Arun XII-B was selected for Indian Triathalan team and participated in National Level Tournaments. In judo S.Ranjith XII-B , A.parthiban X-A was selected for Tamilnadu Team, in Hockey N.Niranjan IX-D, A.Kishore VII-D and Dinesh VII-D were selected for Sports Development Authority Tamilnadu Team. S.Hariprasad of XI-C won III Prize in Chennai Marathan Race and received cash prize and won second place in Tamilnadu Junior Open Athletic Championship and represented national level also.

ROAD SAFETY PATROL PROGRAMME:
This year we have enrolled 100 students from VI std to XII std under the leadership of Sri.K.Sankargiri who is the officer incharge for this programme. Boys regulate traffic both in the morning and in the evening hours under the guidance of traffic division of DI police station.

VOLUNTEER CORPS:
Sri.T.N.C.sesha charyulu, A.H.M. is incharge of the volunteer corps. About 50 volunteers from VIII std to X std., help out in maintaining discipline among the students at the beginning and during the lunch intervals. At the end of the school hour also they help in tracing lost/misplaced items of the students from class rooms.
