STUDENTS LITERARY ASSOCIATION:
This association has conducted several competitions for the students of all standards in English, Tamil, Telugu, Sanskrit, and Hindi to exhibit their talents and nurture their innate interests. It also conducted competitions to test their histrionic talents. This year, it was inaugurated by Sri.K.Varadarajan, Assistant Headmaster, Anjuham Hr.Sec.School, Chennai on 20th August 2004. Bhatrathiar Day was celebrated on 10th September 2004 and Sri.Meignani S.P.K.Chitrachamy, founder of Sethupathy trust gave a lecture on Bharathi. Tiruvalluvar day and valedictory function was celebrated on 27th January 2005. Under the Presidentship of Sri.B.S.Raghavan I.A.S.(RETD), Member. Sri.K.Ganesan, member H.E.O. and Gambeera vakvarshi, Dr.M.A.Venkatakrisnan, addressed the students with the guidance of Dr.Sundaravaradhan Sanskrit teacher. T.Kumaran XII”D” and K.Rajesh XC won several prizes in the inter school competitions. Sri.S. Mathiazagan and Sri.G.Jegannathan organised all the functions.


PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION:
The Association is headed by Sri.K.Valluvan, a social activist. It is functioning well catering to the needs of the students. It conducted meetings for the parents to get suggestions for improvement of the school. It gave cash prizes for the Top rankers in each subject of X and XII standards and top rankers of all standards and to the teachers who produced the top-rankers. It honoured the retired teachers as well as teachers who have put in 25 years of service. It distributed free uniform to deserving students and dhotis and shirts to non-teaching sub staff. It funded science exhibition and other programmes conducted in the school as per instruction from the government. Furniture repair works were also undertaken by it. With the permission of the management, it gives salary to the five teachers and one water man for the whole year.

TEACHER’S ASSOCIATION:
The Association has conducted its activities as usual. The Annual Tirupathi trip was conducted on 16.2.2005. As a special feature, for the welfare of the school and nation, Sri Sudharsana Homam was conducted on 23.01.2005 at the school premises. Various competitions were conducted for the staff to enhance and exhibit their innate skills. With the effervescence of Mr.P.Gurusamy as secretary our association is vibrant in its activities and plans are afoot to conduct a north India tour in the Month of May 2005. With God’s grace and all round help from the management and authorities, we hope to strive for the betterment of the staff and the school in general.


CO-PERATIVE STORES:
Sri. Mohandoss, B.T.Assistant, Secretary, is taking care of the stores and is guided by the duly elected board of directors. It is supervised by the Headmaster who is its ex-officio president. It supplies stationery items to students at cheap rates. It maintains till date its position as the best non credit store in this region.

N.C.C:
57 cadets were enrolled raising the strength to 100. 33 cadets appeared for ‘A’ certificate examination and all came out successful. 43 cadets along with the chief officer T.M.Kesavan attended the annual training camp held at Kancheepuram from 9th june 04 to 18th june04. 7 cadets of our troop attended the republic day selection camp and one cadet Sgt.premkumar, L.M. was selected for the inter group competition camp held at Trichy. Tree plantation programme was organized and saplings were planted. Utmost care is taken by the cadets to nurture the saplings.

Our troop contributed Rs.200/- towards Tsunami relief fund. Independence day and republic day were celebrated in our school in a grand manner as usual.

LIBRARY:
Our school library is accommodated in a spacious hall and has more than 12000 books. Higher secondary students are permitted to take books home. They are extensively availing the opportunity of using the library to enrich their curricular and co-curricular activities. Story books and reference books are made available to other students in their respective classes.
